Our Toggenburg Experience Representative will pick you up at the hotel and an approximately 45-minute drive takes you to Bad Ragaz, an elegant Victorian Spa with a long tradition as a health spa presenting imposing hotels and parks.

From the middle of the 13th century pilgrims journeyed to the Abbey of Pfäfers near Bad Ragaz, where the Tamina Valley opens into the Rhine Valley, to bathe in the thermal waters.

In 1535 the doctor and philosopher, Paracelsus, became the first doctor in Bad Pfäfers and testified to the healing powers of the thermal springs. Thus began the age of spa tourism. In the city centre of Bad Ragaz you´ll find also numerous elegant shops, cosy cafés and restaurants.

Continue to Heidiland, the setting of Johanna Spyri's classic story of a Swiss mountain girland her grandfather, a tale that has captivated generations of readers throughout the world. Proceed to Liechtenstein, the small alpine country landlocked between Switzerland and Austria.

It´s the last remnant of the Holy Roman Empire and an independent state with close ties to Switzerland. It enjoys a high standard of living and beautiful mountain scenery. Lunch break in Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein. After lunch we shall visit the castle of the ruling family. Our last stop today will be at the Zwingli House in Wildhaus, the neighbouring village of Unterwasser, now a museum dedicated to the 15th century Zurich reformer, Huldrych Zwingli ( 1484 - 1531 ).
