Dresden is always worth a visit, no matter which season of the year. But in winter, the beautiful city on the Elbe transforms into a magical Christmas world. It shines and glitters everywhere and will make you shine. Take a winter stroll in a dreamlike setting in Schloss & Park Pillnitz, which in winter turns into a glowing fairytale landscape with the magical Christmas Garden Dresden. On the first Christmas day you will undertake a romantic excursion to Meissen and Moritzburg, where you will follow in the footsteps of the TV classic "Three hazelnuts for Cinderella". We wish you a Merry Christmas in magical Dresden!

Day 1: Arrival in Dresden - Christmas Garden Dresden

Arriving in Dresden. Spend magical Christmas holidays in Dresden, the Florence on the Elbe. This afternoon we recommend a visit to the Historic Green Vault (optional).

In the evening you can be enchanted: Take a winter stroll in the beautiful setting of Schloss & Park Pillnitz, which is transformed into a glowing fairytale landscape. Visit the magical Christmas Garden Dresden (optional - opening hours 2019 presumably from 16:30 to 22:00 (except 24.12), last admission is at 21:00).

Day 2:   City tour - Christmas Eve in Dresden

In the morning you take a tour with a local guide through Dresden, also known as Elbflorenz. The old town with its many sights such as the Semper Opera House, the Brühlsche Terrasse and the Zwinger will inspire you. The afternoon is at your free disposal. In the evening a festive evening buffet awaits you in the hotel and a small Christmas present.

DAY 3: Romantic excursion Meissen and Moritzburg

Your day starts with a rich breakfast in the hotel. Then a full day tour to Meissen and Moritzburg awaits you. In Meissen you will visit the famous manufactory. Afterwards you should stroll through the picturesque old town, past winding alleys, lovingly restored town houses, cosy wine taverns, across the market square with its magnificent town hall, up to the castle hill with the Albrechtsburg castle and the cathedral.

Another highlight is Moritzburg. August the Strong also left his royal traces here. In the midst of a charming valley landscape, the castle rises out of the castle pond as one of the most magnificent buildings in Saxony. Winter time is fairytale time in the castle Moritzburg, which was the scenery for the German-Czech TV classic "Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel" from the year 1973. You will see the special exhibition about film and fairy tales.
