Striezel? Stollen? Dresden! - 3 days

  • One of the oldest Christmas markets
  • Where Christmas is at home

The Christmas market takes its name from perhaps the most traditional Christmas baking, the delicious Striezel (more known outside Dresden as Stollen). Founded in 1434, the market keeps a lot of Christmas tradition and honest craftsmanship alive. In addition to the Striezelmarkt, a whole Christmas mile provides incomparable anticipation: ten thematically different markets stretch from the old town to the other side of the Elbe. Visit the "Stallhöfische Adventsspektakel", which is organized within the walls of the Dresden Residenzschloss. It is an insider tip, as craftsmen offer their goods in a historical way against this impressive backdrop. Another highlight is the Christmas market at the Augustusmarkt. Here, white-gold illuminated pagodas are set up and offer international products such as Danish glögg or chocolates from Belgium.

You will be served tea or coffee with the 3 Stollen samples. In the evening we recommend an individual visit to the famous Dresden Striezelmarkt.
