DAVOS

 

 

 

Davos – located at 1560 meters – is not only Europe´s most extensive Alpine holiday and sports resort, but also offers unforgettable mountain scenery in the heart of the spectacular Alpine atmosphere. Thomas Mann, for example, immortalized Davos in his book “ The Magic Mountain”. 

Thanks to the dry and pollen-free air numerous health research institutes have settled, founding Davos´worldwide reputation as a health spa. Since 1971 the annual World Economic Forum attracts leading personalities of politics, business and art.



INTERLAKEN - KLEINE SCHEIDEGG

Kleine Scheidegg is located beneath the Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau at 2061 metres above sea level. It offers visitors a spectacular view on the notorious Eiger North Wall. Kleine Scheidegg has a railway station, restaurants and hotels. It´s also the starting point for the trip to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe as well as for many superb hikes.

 

The Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen ski paradise comprises of 19 modern lifts and 110 km beautiful prepared slopes and belongs to the most popular winter sport regions in Switzerland. Not just ski fans, but also those taking a more leisurely approach and beginners will find exactly what they are looking for in the Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen region. 



MUERREN

Muerren – located at 1650 meters – is a marvellous alpine car free village, which is rich with tradition and originally the home of settlers from the Lötschen Valley in the Valais.

Pierced on a high, sunny terrace facing the famous Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, the village is the highest altitude ski resort in the Bernese Oberland. It nestles at the foot of the Schilthorn with its revolving Piz Gloria Restaurant, made world-famous by a James Bond Film.

 

In the Jungfrau Top Ski Region, skiers of all grades will delight in the miles and miles of wide slopes and beautiful scenery. The 3 Ski areas – Muerren Schilthorn, Kleine Scheidegg Männlichen and First – offer an excellent range of varied runs and are suitable for all grades. 



samedan

As the central village of upper Engadin, Samedan is an ideal base for hike, days of skiing and cultural exploration in the entire valley. A wonderful historic town centre, an 18-hole golf course, as well as the tobbogan run on Muottas Muragl and numerous prepared winter routes offer a great variety.

 

The skiing is extensive and varies, beginning at Muottas Muragl, which is within easy reach by cable railway, in the mountain of Samedan, and spreading over 5 ski areas with cross country trails running the length of the valley. The resort is also a paradise for snowboarders of all standards with 4 fun parks and several obstacle courses.



ST. MORITZ

St Moritz is probably one of the most famous resorts in the world. It is chic, elegant and exclusive and has a cosmopolitan ambiance. St. Moritz lies on the South Side of the Swiss Alps in the sunny mountain valley of the Engadine. It´s location at 6600 ft. makes the summer and winter season wonderful. The healing mineral springs have enjoyed since the middle ages a widespread reputation. St. Moritz offers 322 days of sunshine per year – more than anywhere else in Switzerland. The skiing is extensive and varied, spread over 5 ski areas with cross country trails running the length of the valley.



UNTERWASSER-WILDHAUS/upper toggenburg

The ski carousel of the upper Toggenburg makes all the fans of winter sports activities swirl with enthusiasm and the wide runs are just perfect for carvers. There are 68 kilometres of perfectly prepared runs and fun parks as well as 19 modern mountain rail lines and ski-lifts. The Funpark Wildhaus provides beginners and experts with kickers, corners, slide poles and fun boxes. If you are courageous enough you might decide for a Snow tubing run down - lying on your stomach. Snow tubing is an unforgettable adventure for all ages. And they very brave ones can use the snow scooter to get down to the valley.

 



Zermatt

Zermatt – in the Canton of Valais in the Southern part of Switzerland is a paradise with snow guarantee for skiers. The picturesque mountain village at the foot of the majestic Matterhorn is nowadays one of the most important summer and winter resorts. Horse sleighs, carriages and electric vehicles are the only means of transport allowed there – a world without cars!
