Day 1: Arrival
Drive to the hotel in Tel Aviv. 1 Night
Day 2: Jaffo - Haifa - Akko - Tiberias
Drive to Jaffo: visit the St. Peter Church, on the hill of the old settlement. Walk through the old town ("Simon's House"). Then we drive through the Sharon Plain to Caesarea on the sea, the city of Herod, the Roman governor, the Byzantine and Crusaders. Continue along Mount Carmel to Haifa, "the most beautiful city in the country". After lunch, drive to Akko: visit the bastions, the old port, the White Mosque and the Crusader halls. Through the valley of Bet-Kerem, which separates lower and upper Galilee, we reach our hotel in Galilee: purchase for two nights.
Day 3: Arround Lake Galilee
Drive to the hills of Lower Galilee: visit to the "Mount of the Beatitudes", panorama of Lake Genesaret and the surrounding Golan Heights. Continue to the pilgrimage sites on the lake: Tabgha (Heptagpegon = Siebenquell) with Brotvermehrungskirche (floor mosaics from Byzantine times) and "Mensa Domini"; Capernaum, the "City of Jesus", where the synagogue of the 4th century, houses from Roman times and the church of the Petrushaus are partially preserved. Motorboat ride across Lake Genesaret to Tiberias.
Day 4: Nazareth - Jerusalem
Drive to Nazareth: panorama of the lower town, visit of the memorial places (Gabrielskirche with well chapel, Annunciation church). Further to the mountain Tabor: driveway, panorama of the Jezreel plain and the More mountain with the localities of En-Dor and Nain. Then drive past the Gilboa, through the Jordan Valley to Jericho: passage over the rubble hill of the "oldest city in the world" and Elischaquelle. Through the desert of Judah we come up to Jerusalem: First view of the Holy City from the Mount of Olives. Hotel relation for four nights.
Day 5: Jerusalem
Ride on the Mount of Olives: Panorama of Jeruasalem in the morning light. Walk to the foot of the Mount of Olives: Gethsemane, Church of the Nations.
Treasure Grotto, Mariengrab. Then we go to the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) and Temple Square: visit the Dome of the Rock and the el-Aqsa Mosque. Walk to the Betesdateiich, to St. Anna, one of the most beautiful Crusader churches. Continue through the streets of the old town, via the "Via Dolorosa" to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and to the citadel.
Day 6: Jerusalem
Visit to the "Christian Zion" with "Cenacle", "David's grave", Dormitio church. Drive to the new city of Jerusalem: drive to the government building "Knesset", Menorah and visit to the Israel Museum (Archaeological Department) and "Shrine of the Book". Afternoon drive past Mar Elijah to Bethlehem: visit of the Nativity church, the caves, the shepherd's field and the Rahelgrabe. Return to Jerusalem.
Day 7: Dead Sea - Masada - Qumran
Journey through the Judah desert to the Dead Sea, to Masada, the rock fortress of Herod: gondola lift access, visit to the casemate walls, palaces, storehouses, bathing facilities and the Byzantine chapel. Then to the oases of En-Gedi and En-Feshcha (bathing in the Dead Sea) and the former Jewish communal settlement Qumran: walk through the complex, view of the caves where the famous Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Return to Jerusalem.
Day 8: Departure
Drive to the airport. Return flight.
